Byron is speaking at the Blog Business Summit about design, selling products with blogs, and blog engines. He'll have samples, tales of freshness, and more. Coincidentally, the crew is off for a week on vacation. We'll fill your orders when we get back and thanks!

37 Signals adds Clip-n-Seal to a list of impressive products and notes that it’s two pieces. Jason makes a good point and one we discuss frequently. The design is absolute minimalism. No hinge means there’s nothing to break. That also means it takes two hands and the “experience” isn’t always clear. Like, “what are these for?” Eric Rice wrote me last week to say he watched his child slide the rod out of the clamp lengthwise and I’ve handed Clip-n-Seals to customers that pull it apart the wrong way.

We are considering ways to better explain, at a glance, how Clip-n-Seal works. It’s really very simple: an air- and watertight seal when a bag is closed between the rod and clamp. So simple that some users don’t get it at first, but when they do, they’re usually impressed.

The shuttle is set to return Monday and we should finally hear how NASA is using Clip-n-Seals. As soon as we have more info, we'll post on it. In other news, we sent Clip-n-Seals to a new clients on the Isle of Wight, in the UK, in Bermuda, and Donegal, Ireland.
