Jon Lunddal Froda from the Copenhagen Business School sent an email this morning to tell us about Clip-n-Seals on the CBS campus.
“Hi Byron,
Wanted to let you know that passing a sample of clip-n-seal around the auditorium while telling your “low cost” blog marketing strategy made quite an impact on the future business leaders. (alas students).”
Thanks Jon. I'm glad we made an impact and hope those future business leaders start their career with some fresh snacks! And, considering our marketing strategy, Byron will speak about blogging next month at SXSW and then Web Design World.
We're feeling fast today, with the March issue of Fast Company hitting the newsstands. The issue features an article on Clip-n-Seal (subscription or access code required for 30 days) and how we use blogs. If you're visiting us from Fast Company, thanks! We hope you consider purchasing our product. We guarantee the freshness. If you have questions on blogging, be sure to contact us and we'll respond.
Clip-n-Seal schwag via CafePress is now available. Fine Clip-n-Seal t-shirts, mugs, or magnets are available for you to spread the "fresh" word.
On his new oyayubizoku blog, Jason Fields posts on the Zen-like nature of Clip-n-Seal. Well, philosophy didn't exactly enter the design process, but we appreciate Jason's design props just the same. Minimalism, yes, we hadn't thought of the design in Zen terms. On the subject of minimalism, "why no hinge" comes up frequently and our response is that, "hinges break." There's nothing to break on a Clip-n-Seal, nothing to keep you from fresh food. There is depth to the simplicity, much more than we often talk about. We'll show more of that, as we announce our industrial customers.
If you're visiting us from Coudal Partners, thanks and welcome! We're big fans of Coudal and vice versa, at least that's what Jim told us. Jim and I will be on a blogging your brand panel at SXSW and I look forward to meeting him, exchanging some product, and some beers.
Nikkeibp.jp, a Japanese site for Technology and Business, wrote an article (Google rough translation) on Clip-n-Seals and we promptly shipped an order and received inquiries from Japan. Konichiwa Japan! Watakushi-wa Clip-n-Seal, desu.
The author of the article, Ko Orita, attended the Blog Business Summit and it was a pleasure to meet him. It was really a surprise because I checked email to see an order from Japan and thought, whoa, where did that come from. A few minutes later, Ko showed me the article. That's worldwide. Ko also blogged Clip-n-Seals on his Daigo blog.
